No word on any casting or potential film/air dates. Has anyone else heard/read anything more concrete?

No, the only other thing I've found is, "Jobling declined to comment on the deal when contacted by C21 today" http://www.c21media.net/news/detail.asp?area=1&article=51325

I can't imagine anyone except Robson Green as Tony Hill.

Yes. CBS-TV in connection with Dreamworks (former Stephen Spielberg, David Geffen, Jeffrey Katzenberg company). Filming to begin in the fall which, since it is fall, might already have begun filming. Though, as a network station, CBS is pretty good, they can't touch the UK produced TV series for originality, IMHO. If I were to put up "Wire in the Blood" as a series against any CSI (which might be comparable), CSI could not come close "WITB" as far as story line, character development, writing and originality.

Dreamworks is a disaster. It's been broken up, sold and resold since 2000, scattered to the winds. And it's done very few TV series, only one of which, I think, I heard of.

I'll understand it better-American English- but it will probably be slick and terrible. The best American shows are on cable, but are not mysteries. I'm just watching part one of Collision a Masterpiece Contemporary TV show. Really good but difficult again to follow seemingly lower and middle class dialects. Where does it take place? Where outside London?
