Subject: What did Kevin Matthews do?!

Hi all - I've just re-read the Carol/Tony series and despite this I can't think what Kevin's 'big mistake' was. It's referred to obliquely all the way through the series - think it happens in Mermaid Singing when both he and Carol are same rank ...

Must be early menopause ... memory's gone. Can anyone remind me?!

He had a relationship with the journalist covering the crimes. And gave her snippets of info. In other words: he was a leak.
