There is the problem of Tony being impotent. Although considering Tony's upbringing with his domineering sociopath mother I have the feeling he would be able to get it up if he and Carol would engage in some sort of soft S/M kind of relationship with Carol as the dominant partner. It certainly would add some spice to the story :-).

Tony takes viagra now so the impotence is no longer the problem.
The tension is killing me too, I wish they would get it together now, they're not getting any younger and it's been a few years already. If they do get it together I think it would make both of them better "people", they'd be more for being together.
T/C S&M would definately add some spice
