Subject: Inspiration

Val McDermid's novels are a massive inspiration to me, and one day I hope to be as good a writer as her. Reading about Tony Hill and watching the TV series also inspired me to look into psychology as a future career (don't worry, I know real psychology isn't so exciting! I'm not that naive) and I'm now studying Psychology and Counselling at University and loving it. I genuinely don't think I would have even examined the possibility without reading these books and I wanted to say thank you Val! Has anyone else been inspired in this way?
